By the late 1950s, Dr. Murray had successfully completed his initial greenhouse and hydroponic experiments. To further investigate his theories, he designed a research study utilizing the application of SEA-90 as a soil amendment on a portion of Ed Heine’s family farm in northern Illinois.
Dr. Murray conducted his research in a professional and scientific manner. He applied various amounts of sea solids to fields and crops and always maintained a control field and crop for comparison.
 First, he grew crops in soil remineralized with mineral sea solids and examined for productivity. He also tested for various types of disease resistance, sugars levels, vitamin content and ash weight. Then he fed the crops grown in both the enriched soil and the control soil to various animals and livestock, and compared weight gain versus amount consumed, resistance to diseases, and growth disorders. All of Dr. Murray’s experimental data and conclusions are based upon the use of mineral sea solids as a dissolved mineral in hydroponics or as a soil amendment. SeaAgri’s SEA-90 is created in exactly the same location as Dr. Murray’s sea solids. Therefore, we conclude that Dr. Murray’s data and results would be exactly the same today if he were using SEA-90. It should be noted that Dr. Murray never sprayed diluted solutions of sea water or sea solids on plants as a foliar fertilizer, nor did he offer sea mineral solids to livestock as a mineral salt. These two additional uses or applications of sea mineral solids (SEA-90) were discovered during trials and experiments conducted by our customers beginning in 2003. |
